Hi everybody! My name is Jason and I am currently in my third year at Carleton taking a degree in Public Affairs and Policy Management specializing in International Studies. I was immediately intrigued by the title of this class and knew I had to sign up for it. Populism played a massive role in shaping the 20th century and so far seems to be drastically affecting the beginning of the 21st century as well. Although my specialization is in internal studies, domestic politics is really my bread and butter so when I saw a class teaching the history of populism I knew I had to sign up for it.
I am originally from Fredricton, New Brunswick and I work on Parliament Hill. I am very much into sports and traveling and I am a huge history and political nerd. I think a general understanding of our past as well as current events is very important and I try and keep my self up to date and educate myself as much as possible. I do not know what I want to do once I finish my degree and other than that, there is not much more to me.
